Stuck in a Cage

I'm a bird stuck in a binding cage. Unable to spread my wings and experience change. Stuck with dealing with my sorrow and pain. That can't be even be washed away with Gods' rain. It seems like as soon as I experience joy it is suddenly taken away. It is lifes way of saying this how it must stay. I sit and see other people experiencing joy and wonder why can't I. Sometimes I wonder is it all just a lie. It feels like I'll never see the light. To end my endless night. It feels like that all I can do. Even though I choose to believe this all can't be true.
