Stuck Like Glue
My glue is sticky and suffocating, a glue that traps me in,
with absolutely no way out and no way for me to win.
The glue has a label that reads out "Lonely",
I'm spending time with me, my one and only.
By nightfall I was alone again, a feeling that I’m used to,
This alone feeling seems to stick with me like glue.
My glue is sticky and trapping and constraining,
The feeling of loneliness is just so draining.
I wander to my bathroom and take out my sharpener,
Carving on my wrists like I’m some sort of gardener.
I see my bright red blood seep out from my skin,
And I think "why oh why did I do this again.”
It’s the only way out, a way to break my glue,
Hurting feels like it’s the one thing I can do.
Sometimes I think about how I’m the only one,
but there must be others, the ones who’ve picked up guns.
I don’t want to be that person although they’ve escaped their glue,
I wonder if their glue was being lonely too.
