stuck on an island

All I need is a blanket to wrap my thoughts with

to comfort them from loneliness.

It's the same invading loneliness

that makes people speak empty lines,

listen to empty music,

and watch empty television.

All I need is a blanket to keep my thoughts warm,

when the cold of the night seeps through

with memories of the

what used to be.

The same memories were happier

before the loneliness settled in

when people settled out.

All i need is a blanket for my thoughts to clutch to

when life is reminding them of the

absence of the presence.

It was the present that had invoked in them

a feeling of completeness,

when memories were full and happier.
