Stuck on an Island

Stuck on an Island

By: Emma Wolff

Stuck on an island with nothing to do,

Stuck on an island staring at skies of blue,

No I did not bring my phone

And yes I am all alone

Stuck on an island and who knows when I’ll be home

The one thing I brought was all of my hope

I need it to live, I need it to strive

Hope in all tough times is what keeps us alive

Everyone need to hold on to that goal

When you lose hope it’s like a black hole

All dreams fade away

Nothing is as good on a day to day

Hope keeps our nation fighting when there are tough times

Hope is the heartbeat which defines the silver line

So yes I love objects and I love my friends even more

But without hope I would have no fight to stand for

Whether the fight is for pride

Or to solely save your life

Hope is what keeps us going

Hope is the light at the end of the tunnel that is glowing
