Stuck in a Sea of Grey

Walking the halls

everyone blending together

bright and vibrant in a sea of gray

I stand out

blurred in the main stream

their cloths all uniform

mine are different from the rest

their styles all the same

my styles all my own

I stand out

the things I do not the same as the rest

away from the trends

on a less traveled path

I stand out

the world in my hand

shaping my own destiny

no influence but my own

I stand out

I love that you take pride of your individuality and it is something more of us need to do. The repetition in this poem sounds stronger every time you read it and I hope that is also true for how much you feel it. Stand out, be seen, be heard, and thank you for writing this poem.

Rebecca
