It occured a September afternoon
A day unexpected where the unimaginable occured.
Images captured digitally and memorically
With something as simple as chili cheese fries and horchata for a first type of date.
The exchange of seven numerical numbers were sent to one another.
Before the sun could set we captured the moment
Sparks firing from one side to another blending different emotions to create a warm bright n’ orange sunset one mid-autumn afternoon.
Without another fraction a whole can’t be a whole.
A fraction of me wasn't sure and another wanted to live life.
Part of me knew what was expected while the other side of me just wasn’t ready
Like they say anything can happen, expect the unexpected.
That's when it happened, everything was released
While seasons were changing, time flew from one year to the next and that's where we are so far
Just like geese when they fly away every year to a warmer place to not stand the low temperatures, I wanted to fly too to a better warmer place.
Just a few wrong words and it felt as if my whole world fell cold in low degrees.
It all changed when summer came
That's when I knew my warmth wasn't going to come from the sun.
What's keeping me alive and full of color isn't the the sun its something far more needed, far more wanted, far more desired
Every touch, every word enhances my life, makes it warmer and warmer by the seconds.
I have no need for the sun when I pose the greatest treasure right in front of me.
The sensation of interlacing fingers was a giver
That sensation felt like no other
As each finger locked with the opposite hand I felt closer and closer
I felt so much more than a high school passion
It was all different
You’re different
I’m different
And I know what I want
I want you’re type of different with my type of different to interlace as well
