Students

Students don't want to go to school before the sun is even up

Our brains are dead

We can't even pay attention to what our teachers have said

Students don't want to participate in a classroom where we are told to sit down and shut up

Our bodies are trapped in rooms with no windows, only walls

We miss the old days, when we were encouraged to go out and play with balls

Students are forced to conform

Our teachers expect us to follow all of the rules, no matter how stupid they may be

We are not allowed to do things without their permission, not even go pee

Students just want to fit in

Our classmates judge us by the way we look, by what we wear

We are judged by the money we have, it just isn't fair

Students want to get a good education and have good teachers who care

Our brains need to be stimulated and we need to learn

We want to get good grades and have less concern

Teachers assume that our grades do not matter to us

And that when it comes to college, we just don't care

But there are many of us who would do anything to get there.
