The Student's Thoughts

Tick Tick Tick...

Staring dully at a black and white book

Full of things that would make anyone dead

Nothing in there that would get me so hooked

Makes me wonder if I should stay in bed

Tick tick tick...

More work with numbers that make me sick

Stuff that means nothing in the real world

Why can't I just solve them with a small click?

Oh, right... They don't want me to be unfurl.

Tick tick tick...

Sure, there are some that makes school really fun.

But there are others who take it away.

Draining all our bank of dreams into none.

Turning our colored world into dark gray.

Tick tick tick...

Let me go, let me live my real dreams!

Not something that will make me kick and scream!

Tick tick tick... Ding!

Don't let your future students think like me.

Give them something that they will all agree.

Will you or not?

…

That's the question.
