In the Studio

The minute an 18 year old woman walks into the studio,

She is a doll. She is a model.

She is the photographer's.

He touches her body as if he were fixing clothes on a mannequin.

He makes up excuses to grab her by parts an older man

Should not be grabbing on a young girl.

The bra is tightened to show off her cleavage.

The jeans are tightened to show off her size 0 legs.

Her stomach is sucked in.

Her lips must be retouched to make her look older.

Every stroke the man gives, caressing all of her hair behind her ear,

Sends chills down her spine that grows the hair back on her legs.

She wishes she could surround her body with a shell,

To be a turtle.
