Stupid Cupid

Though it may sound stupid,

I wish I was Cupid.

Love is the one thing we cannot live without

that anyone would even want to, I highly doubt.

Yes, love can lead you amiss,

You can be fooled by a kiss,

Love can trample your heart,

It can tear you apart,

Love can make you depressed,

It can leave you obsessed,

Love is sometimes a trap,

And sometimes a handicap,

Love can turn your heart black,

Or turn you into an insomniac.

Love can be baneful

Because love is often painful.

I can't deny that those things are true,

Love is sometimes given a bad review.

But even worse than being in love,

Is being deprived thereof.

Because love is bliss,

It’s something you don’t want to miss,

Love is a fresh start,

It’s medicine for the heart,

To fall in love is to be blessed,

It’s the only feeling that can’t fully be expressed,

Love requires no map,

You’ll fall in a snap,

Love fills in the cracks,

It softens the heart’s plaques.

Love is always gainful—

To never love is disdainful.

And if I was Cupid, you know what I'd do?

I'd make love happen for you.

Because the worst fate I can think of,

Is to be without love.
