It involves sorrows and allegories
as it's told across the silent floor.
Poetry is about connection,
from real life to your writing.
Whether it's biting or exciting,
the words will show reflection.
We learn about the deeper content,
the hidden imagery and symbolism.
We learn about formalism and how Poetry never relents.
There can be no rhyme scheme and we can establish themes.
But most of all, we view the history of dreams.
From romanticism and tragedy from Shakespeare
to the hidden loneliness and depression from Poe.
Poetry is all about your own style,
Make sure you make it worthwhile.
