Submerged

Tide comes in to drown you

Devastation on its mind

Liquid death surrounding

Vying for its time

Water claws to your lungs

Death steps into view

Agony and panic grips

This is the end for you

You realize there’s no water

No tide that’s closing in

It’s only in your mind you see

The lonely from within
