Submitting My Shot

Dear Me,

Four years have gone by in the blink of an eye

You're taller, bolder, older

You've found a sense of self.

But have you?

Times are everchanging.

Every click of the keyboard is no longer a game

but an application.

With every click of the 'submit' button

You're submitting your shot for the future you desire.

Here's the thing.

You may fail, you may succeed

You may get lost on the path.

But here's the other thing.

You're authentic yet confused

a feeling you're scared to admit to, but ready to dive into.

I'm proud of where you're going

and you will find where you belong.

Let's check in within another four years

and see what's going on.
