Substances

Wash away these feelings

Drown me in pleasure

Let me feel alive

In haze I see truth

I feel protected

No pain in my chest

Heart light as a feather

Lost in this weather

Can’t hurt me no more

I’m finally free

Wings flying high

I dance in the sky

It all crashes down

Back to Earth I walk

Alone

Thoughts racing my mind

Weighed down by my heart

Heavy ideas to end it all

I can’t face reality

I’m stuck in limbo

Ready to feel alive

Wanting to die

Lost all control

Water drowning

I don’t want to be alive

Allow me my medicine

To let me feel alive.

The spaces in between . . . imperfections of growth reaching towards Zion continuing tradition creating habit flower blooming I am alive. 🌸
