Success

I yearned to become the best.

They believed in me.

My parents said they wanted to rest

Easy and watch me succeed.

I am FLAWLESS.

No assignment comes close to my breaking point.

I watch others give up easily

While I continue on.

Those non-believers said I could not go on.

They said the road was too rough.

I pushed their negative thoughts aside

And strove toward my goal.

One day I received mail.

It told me of an acceptance for which I was excited.

My parents were proud.

It was only the beginning.
