Success

Is it enough to simply be the person you've become?

Or could it be there's more to gain

than steps up

from whence we came.

See, I like to believe in:

personal growth

self-actualization

confidence gained

through experience.

But when do you call this "success"?

Can there be a physical ceiling to be reached -

or do the stars alone limit us?

To be affirmed in your trials; to experience conflict

and overcome.

I need the push, the "you go girl"'s, the proverbial high five

from life which exclaims

"You have succeeded. This is your calling."

I need the strength from within.
