SUCCESS WHERE YOU AT?

Dear Future,

Doubted and abused

My body is all bruised from all the times I have been misused

My mind is so confused, what did I ever do to deserve all this pain?

Would I be better off just hit by a train?

Watched my best friend overdose on cocaine, Now I’m just sitting here going insane

I’m so tired of watching my mother struggle to make ends meet

That’s why I’m trying so hard to stay off these streets

But how can I make a better life?

When every job search has been a dead end

I just cannot comprehend, How am I supposed to ascend?

But enough with all the negative thoughts

One day I will be as popular as barbeque sauce

Success doesn’t come easy, but imagine when you can finally taste that victory

Best Wishes,

Sarah A. Kista
