"Success within my hand"
Spoken about,
Yelled at,
Broken...
I couldn't find my way through the ignorance of others,
Slapped,
Beaten,
Strangled...
All the things done to my flesh,
Lost with no way to find myself,
So I wrote,
The things about my darken past,
My generation and the lost of love,
My blood which fell from my wounds,
I wrote,
My journey and my secrets that bonded me to these people,
Who I once considered my family,
Who now seem like strangers,
So I wrote about the lies people told me,
The schemes people played,
So I wrote so no one could be little me,
Devour me,
Or demolish me...
The pen and the paper was my strength,
My path,
My way,
To leave behind the world that desperately tried to drown me,
A Pen and paper gave me the essence and grace that I needed to succeed,
To gain momentum within myself,
To be the person that would face them all and never look back,
So I wrote the words that make up my world...
A new beginning,
A new life,
With my old love,
A pen and a paper is what I began with,
And a pen and a paper is what I'll end with,
A success within my hand...
