Such is Life
Escape.
The here and now doesn’t have the same brilliant shine it used to.
Progressing, always progressing,
and leaving me behind.
Ever since I was young, I knew the lengths of my spirit reached beyond my years on earth;
my heart still somehow convincing me of another life told in steady beats.
Carrying stories spun on woven silk veins of scenes someone else danced-
wisdom still coating the back of my hand.
Little precautions built into my step guiding me along the way.
I’m at odds with my peers and distanced from my castle...somehow always a little off.
Unusual has become an understatement.
Crossing lines like hopscotch in the middle of the playground gives me more than an advantage.
Finding familiarity in faces I’ve never seen defines me as the sun defines the flower.
It’s life or death.
To wake up and have a one track mind and no accompanying loves would be nothing short of death for me.
C’est la vie.
