Such is the way of life

The sun, the moon, the stars...

Can show you full beauty when you dream of going far

To remind yourself that the world is bizarre

To show you warmth when life seems so hard

When confusion sets in, and you don't know the lesson

and everything seems to spiral and you're not really "present"

Pain, joy, sadness, repeat

Life in today's world feels like you have to compete

Your job, place of living, relationship status, weight

Even though we all have way too much on our own plate

The sunset, the trees, the water...

Can show you full beauty when you need magic, like Harry Potter

To remind yourself that you are "a good enough daughter"

To show you that you can mourn for your belated father

When confusion sets in, and you don't know how you'll proceed

But you stay open, keep growing, keep planting those seeds

Loss, masking, agony, repeat

Compound grief and the problems you'll meet

Your finances, aspirations, free-time, emotions

Flow through you heavier than a boat on the ocean

The rocks, the birds, the wind...

Can show you full beauty when you don't know where to end or begin

To remind yourself that your not your weight, your hair, the color of your skin

To show you that there's reasons to fix that crown, hold up that chin

When confusion sets in, and you don't know how you'll heal

Escape, relax, divert, repeat

To expand and evolve and not give in to defeat

Conversations, quality time, self-care, mental-health,

All the things people say provide internal "wealth"
