The Sudden Dream

I hadn’t dreamed about you in years, and yet, lately, whenever I’d, closed my eyes to sleep, you’re, all that I see, and, I see you, in ALL the stages of your life, from when you were, just a young lad, to how, you’d grown old, and, walked more slowly, and toward the very end, when you couldn’t, even walk anymore, that I’d, carried you everywhere, despite how heavy you’d become.

I hadn’t dreamed about you in a long time, so, why did you, come back into my sleep again?  Were you, trying to let me know, that you’re okay, after you’d, gone from my side?  What are you trying to say to me, I can’t tell, because, in my dreams, I’d only, held you so close to me, and felt your body on mine………

I hadn’t dreamed about you in years, I thought I’d, found closure from those past dreams of you, and, I no longer felt the least bit saddened, when I think of you now, so, why is it, that you’d, come, once more, to visit me in my dreams?  Is it, a reminder, that my heart’s, ready, to love another like you???like this???
