suddenly

dear my new love,

i can’t trust it i can’t see

the waves crashing on over me

the summer heat and deadly sky

holds presence over you and i

but autumn shifts into the season

bringing feelings without reason

and i’m not one to question, no

but this one’s more than i can know

it’s sudden with spontaneity

as it rushes over you and me

i’m shy but you’re the brighter one

it’s got me feeling a bit stunned

after i swore to friends and me

that everything’s called off, you see

nobody would come near to me

i’ll ride solo to my destiny

but dear god you’ve got gorgeous eyes

and a smile that sends a rush through mine

although drummer boys can do some harm

i’m pretty sure third times the charm

much love,

lucy
