Suffrage

I have got to love my husband

He has done so much for me

He took me from my home

And has made some money for me

I have got to love my husband

He gave me the ring

We danced under the stars

And he listened to me sing

I have got to love my husband

He gives me the food

That I can cook alone

And wait in the nude

I have got to love my husband

He works extra time

To make us more money

Until it’s bedtime

I have got to love my husband

I know he is loyal

He comes in the morning

And treats me like a royal

I have got to love my husband

Though it’s time to vote

I must honor his choices

Until it’s time to demote
