Sugar Disease

Thu, 04/10/2014 - 21:29 -- tdeaton

In and out, in and out;

The poisons enter me.

It's a struggle each day

to control the habits that devour me.

Just one bite and all your dreams come true.

we grew  and grew and grew

up as children believing this as truth.

No one ever told us that it could lead us to rue--

rue everything we ever ingested

we were tested and guessed that we were invincible.

The weight upon your hips, thighs, and shoulders

feel more like boulders to me.

Eventually, it can lead you to your end

if you begin to lose your sanity.
