Long, hot, glorious
The summer stretches before us.
Softly wisp'ring smooth summer breezes,
Shorts, Tank Tops, Flip Flops.
4-H projects are unexplored mountains
higher than the blue summer sky.
Nobody's stopped me,
None but me.

Long, hot, glorious,
The summer stretches before us.
Job-hunting, hoping, praying, waiting.
Weather warms slowly, grass greens,
Gardens know how to grow.

Long, hot, glorious,
The summer's before us.
