Summer

The lovely season of summer.  It brings joy every day.

At dawn, the red sun shows its face from the horizons,

greeting the earth with its light and offering a brand new day.

The birds sing their songs as people get up to go have some fun.

By noon, the sun has risen up to its peak as the sky has a perfectly unmatchable color of blue.

The waters, whether on beaches or in pools, sparkle like diamonds.

Children enjoy the day as they let the sun soak their skin and the sand buries their feet.

Then after a long day, they can relax during the sunset,

continuing their fun as the sun says farewell.

At night, the large warmth continues as the sky

cradles the face-changing moon in a forever impressing array of stars.

People have campfires, singing, being with friends and family

as the flames dance in the night sky.

We lay our heads down.

We get ready to sleep, knowing that summer is with us.

Then, we close our eyes, knowing that this amazing day is over

And a new day will come tomorrow.
