Summer Breeze

Looking at it

I can still feel the summer breeze

A warm caress with ruffling of hair

We were sitting side by side

So close yet miles apart

A beautiful scenery with empty memories

Our backs to the camera

Inner turmoil glossed over by golden halo

Fleeting eeriness with the backdrop of peace

Looking past it

I see us as time whizzed by

Miles apart yet closer than ever

I know the summer breeze ended

Yet autumn wind as crisp as ever

Even better

I hope I weather

Free from my tether

To be with you in harmony

A synchronous sigh behind a smile

Where beautiful memories reside
