Summer = Bummer

You wanted me
to have,
and I quote,
"a great summer"

Yet you left
that same summer
But you're not
the first one

All my tragedies
emerge on a
summer

Perhaps I hate
that time of the
year

I was supposed
to have
a great summer

yet how could I?

Some people think
about winter as
a bummer

But summer is mine.

This is what heartbreak does to a writer.
