Summer Day

A summer breeze weaves its way through the leaves of the mammoth maple trees, creating a melody that is soft and gentle. This melody floats around me as I sit on my wooden frontporch watching a white-winged moth flutter merrily about my untamed garden. (I wonder how it feels to be a thing with wings.) Chirps of birds sound from the trees, they're adding lyrics to the melody. (I wonder what their lyrics mean.) Looking up into the cloudless, blue sky I spot the bright yellow Sun smiling at me. (I hope I'll be able to smile that brightly someday soon.)
