A Summer Fling
Summer. Fling. Teenage lovers. Warm endless nights. Holding each other till dawn. Promise to me that you will stay forever. Weightless bubbles soaring in the wind, that is how you make me feel. Autumn is growing near and the breeze becomes a chill, but yet you hold me close with your gentle arms safely secure. My lover, my everything, you will embrace me through all the seasons until the breeze is once again warm with cool waves at our feet, sand between our toes and your fingers between mine.
Sunlight declines daily as does our love, I believed your promises with no question in my mind that you may ever betray me; clueless and in love, blinded by your eyes, you left me. You set me on my way and locked your heart from my love, I have never felt so betrayed, so abandoned. Stomach in my chest, hands trembling, green eyes blinking endless rivers away. Promise to me you will stay away forever. Recovering from the painful truth. Heart frozen over. Trust. Destroyed.
