A Summer Job

She misses the summer days

The forceful beat of the sun

Upon her back, accompaning

the giddy rythm of her heart.

Running. Carefree. A child

swept by the current of

imagination. Procted by

a world of her mind.

Today, she lives in

the land of reality.

In an airconditioned room,

she provides a service to others.

Canned items on the bottom,

bread on top. A dulling mind

with the reptetive act.

A radical change to life,

a business to summer's lazy days.

Working hard for her future,

an investment of time.

She sets upon a professional path,

leaving the days of childhood behind.
