summer lovin'

Summer; the feeling of completion the pulsating waves of warmth that penetrate through our 70+ sunblock toasting temperatures inviting teenage tanning. early church mornings and ice cream runs car rides tempting one to gaze out the window at blurred yet deliberate movements of the passing groves, houses, cows, grasses, meshing together in one endless stroke of a paint brush beach days, where the heat seems to vibrate off of all thick and thin; alive, and inanimate. Trees abundant with fruit crying out for attention as peaches crowd the spiritless branches rotten peach remains litter the ground and slowly decompose into the arid soil succulent produce the size of small children is harvested and sold at local markets. Fat delicious fruits, like the products of angels. juicy morsels sag in arms reach quiet whispers of the summer breeze, carrying secrets and memories of the year before all at hand for three months of pure bliss all at hand until the last day the last day when we must return again return again to early mornings and long afternoons counting down the days until the feeling of completion begins again.
