Summer Rain

You.

You're like summer rain

An unexpected blessing fallen heavenly from the sky

You make the world want to dance

You make people smile

You can turn a miserable heat into a graceful breeze

The smell of you calms the waves of the summer heat into a storm of pure beauty

Crashing raindrops hitting the windows

The smell of petrichor breaking through the small cracks between doors

The droplets of you hitting the concrete making long walks in the heat not so hard to bear

You my love, make me want to dance

You make me want to laugh in the middle of the street

You make me want to stand in the road, look you in the eyes and whisper unto you, love is real

You remind me of summer rain

You.
