As Summer Takes Its Course

If you don't try to stay cool You really are a fool Wearing sunglasses Feeling the heat flashes Catching fireflies Don't keep it 'till it dies Everyday wearing flip-flops Even in the rain drops Getting itchy bug bites Butterflies fly around in a loop Little children love to hoola-hoop Flying high kites Feeling hurting sun burn Finding someone that makes your butterflies churn Jumping off the dock Seeing the birds above in a flock Where will the kids be found? Having fun on the playground Long walks down on the beach Hearing sea gulls screech Finding sea shells Waiting to hear my brother's wedding bells
