Summer's Dream

A breeze whispers through the trees,

Traversed in time,

Contemplating,

Unsure of what's next

A cloud sailing toward desire,

Dreaming of a better world,

Changing,

Hoping for success

A boat rocking against the waves,

Fighting for what's right,

Unmoving,

An unavailing test

The sun stops shining,

The wind is at rest,

The tide stops short,

You have failed your quest

Hope is an unending force,

never forgotten, never seen

Hope is the one item,

You cherish and need

Hope is what you desire in your time of need,

Hope is the wisdom your heart seeks,

No matter where you are,

Or how hopeless it seems,

Hope is the item you desperately heed
