Sun

Rivers are very peculiar
Why they intrigue me I know not
Maybe It’s because no matter what they continue on their cycle
Polluted or not it presses on
Sure they zig-zag twist and turn as if wanting to turn back
But they don’t
With all their complexity and pain caused by people they carry on
Rivers are troubled and dark
But rivers let no one see their bottom
They mask their troubles with a beautiful exterior
An exterior that is all too familiar to us
But what can rivers do
Continue their voyage to the sea alone or be recycled by the sun
At a glance the relationship between the sun and water is odd
The sun evaporates the water
Abducting it from it’s journey
Diverting the water from its current course
Then drops it back down so that it may continue on
But when water is evaporated it becomes pure again
Sure it always has the potential to be re-polluted
But the sun will stay with it
The sun renews the water
Once renewed water continues to run
I hope I pray that you find your sun
