The Sun

The sun,

it rises and sets for me.

Beaming warmth,

it radiates relentless energy.

Every day until the evening,

showers of warmth sprinkle limitlessly.

Always on time,

With no command, with no complaints,

it does it's job for us all.

I, too, want to be the sun.

Shed light on all, and ask for none.

Heat up the cold souls,

who forget to do it themselves.

I'll rise each day,

toast and tingle their skin,

until they feel,

my love seep in.

I'll set each day,

get rest and fuel,

until I come back the next day,

and make the smiles return.

I, too, want to be the sun.
