The Sun is Also a Star

And I think it’s funny
Looking up at the sky
In the darkest of nights
Like those days I looked in your eyes
I can see everything
I see all this world
We are just a speck
Compared to those dazzling stars
And milky ways
Am I talking about the sky?
Or maybe your eyes?
They’re all the same to me
And they make me think
Again how it’s funny
That we don’t realize
Everything is connected
It all comes back to one
Like the stars and your eyes
It’s who we are
And yet while we ignore these
The sun is also a star
