Sun and Moon

Once the brightest star to ever be seen,

You’re not on the map, nowhere to be found.

The moon circled the earth, but only found darkness

This is not farewell my dear friend

Once a kind soul now kinder in memory

The wind whispered your name in sorrow,

While the winter chilled your bedroom window

The moon cannot create her warmth on her own

This is not farewell my dear friend

Your voice still lingers and echoes through the night

Powerful, energetic, kid to everyone

While fate was not kind to you

You’re kept in a safer place, shining upon the earth

In a place where we shall meet again

Like the sun meets the moon in the morning the morning sky
