The Sun and the Moon

The Sun and the Moon

The sun and the moon,

the contrast of light and dark,

the contrast of start and finish,

sunlight and sundown,

sunlight representing new beginnings and fresh starts,

sundown representing a conclusion for everything that took place during the day,

at times the dark ill-lighted night skies where the moon lies,

 bring murky pessimistic thoughts,

as the sunshine brings and welcomes optimism,

behind each dark ill-lighted night lies the sun,

shining out the black skies each morning,

behind every stray of darkness there is always a streak of light,

each morning making the gloomy dusk skies bright,

bringing sight to optimistic thoughts,

that pessimism has distraught,

behind each negative there is always a positive,

Allow the darkness not to weigh out the light,

allow it not to win the fight,

allow for it not to make all of the bright out of sight.
