The Sun and Moon

We were day and night

Night and day

One in the same

Different in every way

You shine so bright

I am dark

You cast my shadow

I hide your light

We were shaped differently

Details similar in many ways

You shine a light inside me

I free the darkaness within you

Clouds hide your light

Stars outshine me at night

We balance one another

Destroy each other

Though we are similar

We can never be together

You are close to my heart

I forever will be lost in the dark

Souls meant to be

Broken apart for eternity

This is a personal poem...I've never really been open about my poems but I hope you understand the meaning behind it. Though this poem represents me, my mother and father have a been a great influence. So rest in peace father and I wish you could have seen this poem.
