The Sun And The Moon

Location

In that moment
darkness had passed
but how long would it last?
the shield of Sun was gaining-
a sheer partition to it's rays
the Moon shifted her gaze
hiding behind stars that gleam
it would seem as though the sky
was unseen-

Lightless days began
hovering between shaded sands,
even the clouds had lost their dance
but the Moon gave them not one glance
mysteriously folded in a shaft enclosed
her timing had chose- the earth to be froze.

The nights were left to lay
light had gone and
darkness set it's stay-
what the Moon couldn't see
each tear of shine beneath
the stars- dropping from the Sun
his only light left to give
if only she knew,
without the Moon
he couldn't live.
