The Sun And The Smile

The sun rose and was greeted with a smile

Each watercolor morning inhaled and appreciated

Relishing in the glow and warmth

Her dark clouds would vanish with the the first rays

One morning the sun and received no smile

The watercolor morning lost its hue and lay unacknowledged

The day was cold and held no ardor

The dark clouds growing and spreading over the world

The world crumbled and drowned in darkness

Searching out for the smile that no longer existed

Beseeching the sun to return

But no light can enter when there is no life to cherish it
