Shining down on you

I give you warmth,life.

Blessing you with energy

from my lofty throne.

You make me alive, Apollo

I need you and your distance,

For I want you close, though I may burn

But further, and I would freeze.

I watch you grow,

Lending a warm touch.

My reflection banishes

Your fears at night.

I reach for you every day,

The force that keeps me going.

But I despair,

I will never grow to your level.

Though the distance is great,

I am here, watching over you.

You will never freeze.

You will never be alone.
