the sun comes out eventually

because she loved me

i was torn apart

unloveable, unhappy, unworthy

because she loved me

i couldn't leave

no option and plenty of reason

because she loved me

her hands hit harder

and she threw me away because i wasn't hers anymore

because she loves me

i am whole

renewed in the light of her warm, loving soul

because she loves me

i'm not afraid

my dreams are my own

because she loves me

her words mean more

and her soul holds mine just as stars hug the night sky
