The Sun Never sets

Spotlights sync

To reveal

The main event

The star

Phoebes Apollo

With one note

metamorphosis

into melodious madness

Many minds meld

Majesty beheld

A single starving beast

On revelry it feasts

Flashing light

Roaring crowd

Immortal night

Without a cloud

Alas,

All must end

An encore

shall rend

a whisper runs

like water

through the day and night

its golden fingers stretching in

“Did I hear that right?”

Hanging on the laurel tree,

Was a girl just twenty-three

Oh, the sun was chasing thee

That poor lady Daphne

Each after the other yelled

Canceled, and were sure

The court of opinion

Would see its justice served

And yet

the next night

Spotlights synced

And the crowd roared
