The Sun Remembers
The sun remembers the first day of the world
He shines every day without fail
Even if clouds make for him a veil
The flower pokes its head from the ground
Living for the day it’s been given
The sky cries for those forgotten and unloved
It urges me to do something for them
The sun smiles down on this world
We remember the short time we have and
We show the world what we’ve been given
The Creator has given our lives beauty
That can be seen inside and out
The stars in the sky are bright and joyful
Reminding me to seize the day and live it.
