The Sun Rose
The sun rose this morning
I picked rose petals in mourning
Its a cloudy day, the day is black
The day bleeds like a wound from broken bottle glass
This feeling is familiar, it feels like through this I can heal it
I wonder if my actions are advent from my double helix
I need this, I feel this pain
Washing away, like sand on the beach
A whole collage of drugs to choose from
I chose you. Symbiotic relationship
I count rose petals with you
Suppressed into the deepest darkest corner
I love hate this feeling. You only get it if you’ve had this feeling
I’ve had to do this since I was only a youngin
They say you have to do it
its an unwritten rule you have to do it
Get crunk xanax pain pills coke
These memories become distant I need them to be
Only reality keeps them within grasp.
You’re the ocean
On the surface you’re beautiful
But you’re so deep
Dark and elegant
People’s warmth is what gives me radiance
The surface only a touch of what I am
I can be so calm but in a blink of an eye
I turn violent like my predecessor
The struggle to stay calm
Temptations give me dualities
The day is black
But I realize I can’t have this day back
I don’t even remember how this day passed
I get mad for no reason
I don’t want to change with the seasons
I want to change the seasons
I don’t want to be mechanical
Everybody waitin on somebody
Tell them what to do
You have to do what you have to do
True leaders don’t wait on anybody or anything
No matter how dark the days get
I count rose petals for all of you
But not in mourning
We celebrate cause
The sun rose again the next morning.
