Sun Shine.....By: Sherri Lynn
"You are my Sun Shine,"
You sang to me so devine.
I was young, and it made it all better,
As you sang our eyes grew wetter.
Then, came the day you passed on,
My Sun Shine was gone.
That day was so rainy and cold,
I couldn't bare what I was told.
I would never see you agian,
You were my everything, Mom, Teacher, Friend.
Days turned to weeks, months, then years,
Every Holiday and Birthday turned into tears.
Was this all apart of a "Big Plan?"
Was is for a greater purpose? I don't understand!
Everyone knew it would happen sometime,
But why so quick? We ran out of time.
We really took you for granted,
But you left us with memories you planted.
Planted so well they're hard to find,
They grow in the rain, blosson in the Sun Shine.
You may of sang, "You are my Sun Shine,"
But you are and will always be mine!
You sang to me so divine,
"You are my Sun Shine."
