The Sun Shines

Thu, 10/17/2019 - 12:22 -- CorrynP

The sun shines in the willow tonight

He has left me and my future is bright.

Take time to design a response

Half way through this glittering pond.

Bubbles trickle out of my mouth

As I submerge deeper and deeper south.

The rays shine through the rough winds

Through the shadows and ripples within.

With dead weight I am pulled down below

The deepest death will be covered in snow.

As I am sinking to the corals of my heart

His and mine are tearing apart.

Every reflection I see his face

I break the surface and feel the warm embrace

The willow whispers a secret in my ears

A wind whistles, although nobody else hears.

What is craved cannot be blocked

A destiny created, ready and locked.
